I have been down this road and finding a dead match for silver tough, just paint them both complete and only you will know the difference.

I really scratched up my silver side bags pretty good and had this same dilemma. With a little guidance from VFRhusband I was able to sand and paint the bags like new. The paint I used was from Autozone and it was in the area of Honda colors. Mines an 08 so I believe that my color is a darker grey/silver than an 03. At first glance you cant even tell the difference. Sometimes I forget too. Do a test paint on the backside of whatever your doing (some place no one can see) let it dry and see if you like it. The paint can I got was a small spray can BTW.

Good advice thanks. But this isn't for body as in tank or fairing- it's for the footpeg bracket.

I'd rather not get into pairing all four or even both on one side (front and rear passenger) if I don't have to.

Was that fifty bucks for one or both? If one, did it match the factory coating or if both did it match the front peg mount? Kinda not sure about if what ya call rearsets are not just rear peg mounts.

Buying a new one is always an option or there are several sources for rearsets in different colors and finishes.

Funny one, Next thing you know, things will be sent by a chisel and a stone tablet (not to be confused with a tablet with all the farkels.)

Not high jacking here either so dont go down that road! I would take off all four pegs/rear-sets, and have them powder coated or painted professionally. Wouldnt polish them either cause your setting yourself up for maintenance thats a pita...

    Cheers, happy Thanksgiving

i don't really like the look of the rear handles so i found come silver covers. when i took off the handles they had wore the paint off, both sides look like this, first i though it was just dirt but paints missing. im pretty sure anything i do will make it look worse but any suggestions welcome.
