I plan on taking some mini-vacations on the vfr next year so I figured I would watch for a corbin seat (backrest is important for the wife, and I've had corbins on all my other bikes and love them) a few short weeks after I bought the bike I found a brand new one for $350 shipped with the oval backrest and red piping. Installed just the seat on the bike today, feels pretty good. Guess I will try it out in the morning on my way to work, as my truck broke a u joint tonight. Glad the bike has heated grips and at least a small windshield, supposed to be 36 degrees at 4:30 am when I leave for work. Hopefully the whitetail will leave me alone too, I've been seeing them on a pretty regular basis lately so I will be watching closely.

seat was great, wasn't to cold, ended up only getting down to 42 degrees.
my first gear one pc winter suit is quite warm, best $75 I ever spent on winter riding gear. even had to turn the heated grips off a couple times, need to rig a thermostat up or something on them, even the low setting gets to hot over time.

very true, my father in law hit one at 65 mph and broke his femur and destroyed the bike.
