The WHY WE RIDE movie will be playing in Las Vegas on Tuesday December 3rd at 7:30 at the AMC Town Square theater.

The trailer looks great, and some of it was filmed at the Valley of Fire with local riders...

When it hits the rental DVD or streaming market, let us know.

Kudos to AMC for showing the indies they do. Will this be a one time showing or a run?

Thanks for the inside info and all the knowledge that comes with it.

Not to worry about the DVD or the streaming. Someone else will come through without cranking in the snit factor. So do ya think la chica will finally get her 15 milliseconds of fame and be immortalized in celluloid? I know, kind of a takeoff on the Andy Warhol thing but that's show biz..

Here is a link to the trailer as well as locations of screenings if you scroll down. I went to the premiere in LA in October and they really did a great job with this film. It covers all types of riding and I think even those that don't ride will enjoy it and possibly even get some understanding of why we do... maybe they will even decide to learn to ride. The same scene in the trailer from Valley of Fire is in the movie but it is extended a little bit more, so I, the lead rider, am a bit more visible than in the trailer. And the really cool thing for me was seeing my name in the credits in the end. I really did not think they would put our names in the credits as we were just extras, and we even signed releases stating we would not be credited. So, that was a really nice surprise for me. Anyway, here is the link.

Many cities are selling out and they are adding new shows in those cities. Find your city and reserve your tickets now!! Especially with much of the negative press motorcyclists are receiving lately, this movie puts a much needed positive spin on it!!

According to the website only a few cities are sold out. Another hot air balloon by la chica.. By a simple read of the way this deal works, there is a threshold of time involved and if ticket sales are not met the screening is cancelled. IOW, in Seattle, the screening is being held potentially on 12/5 . As of todays date on the website all tickets must be sold in the next four days. See the count down clock posted..

Very business like and professionally done by both the film makers and the distributors. What is difficult to stomach is why la chica has to blow smoke up everyone's ass with her interpretation of what is really happening.

Indie films have a way of either doing very well or ending up as flops. This one may well end up at Sundance or Cannes. Looking back, Bruce Brown got his start showing "Endless Summer" in silent 16mm in high school and college auditoriums narrating the film using a separate sound system... Next was "On Any Sunday" fronted with pesos by Steve McQueen.

This film will eventually go to disc both as a rental and for sale and even perhaps streamed if the numbers crunch up right. Best bet for unedited info is in future www.IMDB.com or the distributors or filmmakers websites.

Best to tell it like it is than tell it like somebody thinks it should be. That is best left to the politicians, The Kardashians, Harley dealers and other attention whores.

Not texting above or below the ton ever.

To be clear, this movie has been showing since November 1st, and quite a few of those shows have sold out. However, these shows do not appear on the list because they choose not to show useless information just to toot their own horn, like Bilbo Baggins here.

Also, the number of reserved tickets required is merely to make sure they will have enough attendance to make it worth it for the hosting theater. Once they have enough reservations, tickets will still be available... unless these theaters only have 90 seats, which may be the case in Bilbo's home town...

I really didn't think this detailed explanation was necessary, therefore did not provide it. But it seems that Mr. Baggins thinks you are all idiots and need him to clarify and explain each detail as only he can....

Always one of my favorite movies!! And that was their goal... To create a movie similar to On Any Sunday, but just update it. Mert Lawwill is actually in Why We Ride... So awesome!! Ted Simon, the author of Jupiter's Travels is in it as well... He is the guy that says, "I have an elevated idea of how good everyone in the world is". Didn't even recognize him!

If we were to go "Back to the Future" la chica would no doubt be right in there with Mssrs. Brown, McQueen, Lawiil and Smith with her name in lights.

For the regular dudes here some straight poop on "On Any Sunday" can be found by plugging in the words on Google or Wiki..

Cut your own deals on the DVD.. The budget on "Sunday" was less than 325K a bunch of pesos for that time but it sure paid off for Bruce Brown..

IMO a really whizz-bang deal would be to do a double feature of both flicks.. Or even a triple (ménage a troi) feature showing the harleydood flick we call, "Popping Peter Fonda."

For the film buffs, more motoflicks include a film about Ted Simon, more by real actor/bikerdood Ewan McGregor and a shitload of other bike related stuff by Bruce Brown Inc.

I am still waiting for " Godzilla vs Harleydoods".

Once the "threshold" aka quota is met, tickets will be sold until the seats are filled.

The history of film is rife with the subject of distributorship and one of the main reasons for the moves by many filmmakers to Hollywoodland as early as the last of the 19th century.

For those in the Seattle area, the Oak Tree Cinemas are North of the downtown area where parking is only at a premium, pricewise. Limited but freebies at the Oak Tree.

My guess is that the "film" is a video feed hence the wide area of distribution.

The DVD or streaming version will be out soon. It's being said that they will be the non-Harley versions so as not to promote all that gay stuff around kids.

The original what? On Any Sunday?

This isn't that or even associated with it from what I can tell. From what Karen says they hoped to achieve some of that feel of 'On Any Sunday' but that's about it.

I believe there was an 'On Any Sunday Revisited' a while back, too. Probably on Netflix or Hulu or Vudu or some such.
