One of the lesser known luggage outfits is Marsee. I have one of their old style "Ciao" tank bags that is about 20 years old. Six bigass magnets, no fading, Same zippers you find in Aerostitch suits, a quick removable pouch for a radar detector or a point and shoot camera, a clear map pocket cover that has never yellowed, inside pockets, lanyard expandable, a built in shoulder strap and the bag unzips from the magnet pad.

The sides are not reinforced. That an easy fix with a 2-3 dollar plastic box from WalMart.

They really hold a shitload of stuff. Just the thing for hauling Harley parts to some poor dude whose Harley quit on him in the middle of nowhere.;)

I have a Joe Rocket hammer head tank bag. The cell phone and GPS pockets were a nice idea but they don't really work. I've had my Iphone overheat on a sunny 85 degree day with it in the cell phone pocket. The GPS pocket fits a 3.5 inch screen GPS just fine but the screen is facing straight up and out in the sun its almost impossible to see not to mention when riding you are kind of hovering over it and you have to lean back and look down to be able to see the screen. It might work great on a cruiser where you have the gas tank out in front of you but sport bike where you lean over the tank it just doesn't work. As far as storage goes its about the right size. I keep a small can of glass cleaner and a microfiber towel, my wallet, my gloves and a bottle of water sometimes two in it. Its a handy little bag and doesn't get in the way of anything but if you are trying to utilize in my opinion the two biggest selling points of it, the cell phone pocket and GPS pocket, its just not practical.

I used to have this Teknic expandable. Everyone thought I was nuts but I loved it. When expanded I could actually rest my chin on it but you wouldn't be doing any technical rides with it. It was folded down the vast majority of the time and I used it until things started to wear out. I got about 6 years out of it but 6 years of my riding would be comparable to about 15 of someone else. They don't make it that big anymore so I got another one that I am not really fond of. Just don't remember what it is off hand. Bad thing was, it was not waterproof. In the bad season, I had a green garbage bag double sided taped to the bottom so it was always there. That worked well.

For those who remember him, that was the last know photo of Sockey before he was abducted and never seen again. Child-find has not been able to locate him.

The sight and I do mean sight is "The People of Walmart". They ain't got me yet!! I may go there someday maybe late October dressed in the latest ATGATT from Harley just to see if I can get discovered.

I confess. I do shop there. I wish they had a gas station at the one in Ogeron I trade with. Other stuff? Rotella T, windsheld washer fluid, half a dozen LED flashlights with batteries for less than three bucks each. Main reason is the photo dept. has a bigass Epson printer that gets regular scheduled service, is always warmed up and prints out my stuff in about 20 minutes.

The trick is to know how to read the ads.. The large prints are called in Walmartese, posters. They are poster size but are inkjet (giclee) prints on Fuji paper. Giclee is French for inkjet so some outfits can charge more because of the nasality of the pronunciation.. Another deal is to check the prices for coupons. Just picked up two 11X14"s for less than a fiver. More? Walmart still has outsourced wet labs that will process C41 in both 35 and 120mm.

So yeah, I drop a few pesos Wallys way. Another deal here is no sales tax..

Come to think of it I have seen some of the same pix of The People of Walmart on sites showing pix of Sturgis, Daytona and a couple of HD Botiques.;)

    Poor sockey.

+1 to the chase harper. I upgraded to one a couple mot gps ago with the deal Toe mentioned. It was a vast improvement on the made in china one I had. Plus the company that makes them is just a few miles south of me down the highway.

i also have used a Manta from Joe Rocket for several years but it's too small to do what the OP asked.

I haven't tried RKA tank bags but the side bags I got from them were good quality. I switched to hard bags so I need to sell them now I suppose.
