When you look over at that Harley, with the engine dancing around, know that it is rubber mounted and the vibrations are negligible at speed. Triumph was experimenting with rubber mounting right before the end at Meridian and Norton go it handled with the isolastic frame set up on the late model Commandos. Vibrations become more apparent with speed. I have noticed that Harley riders prefer to ride under the speed limit with only brief periods of higher speeds. I have a buddy with a BMW GS1200 that rode with a bunch of Harley rider to Sturgis. I asked him how it went and he said "never again. They rode a consistent 65 miles and hour and had to stop at every gas station and rest area. Could this be due to fatigue? I don't know.

Actually mine had little to no vibration like a regular Harley, it is equipped with a Twin Cam 88 B
The B being for balanced they put in a counterbalancer to help alleviate the vibration normally felt while riding one. Hell the motor hardly shakes while it is idling sure does sound good though. Nothing sounds like a Harley and I am not talking loud as hell short straight pipes. I hate those guys too damn loud.

Actually the B is for boys edition. This was done for all the gay pirates who's boy parts were going numb and dis-functional. The regular girls edition had its normal vibrational excitement that made it the perfect ladies bike. :chaingun:

Perhaps some vibrate a bit less than others but from what I see (and there are tons of them here in Arizona) pretty much every one I see at a light is shaking like a leaf.

In any case, I like my motorcycles new and my whisky old!

We appreciate the improvement and forgetting about all that disgusting gay stuff for awhile. Many thanks. IMO you should show some empathy for all the poor dudes that have irregular Harleys. You know how pissed off they can get when anyone disses their bikes.

They sound great and the feel good too with all that torque. The XR1200 is pretty cool and I could see myself owning one. I could see my way to putting a Buell in the garage but, as for a big Harley I just never got the hang of the feet forward riding style. I do not feel like I am in control of the bike when I am riding a Lazy-Boy recliner. If I really wanted something in that style I would opt for a Guzzi California.

Yes, I understand why the torque is nice (but those KTM twins have lots of torque with less problems). But I have more than enough torque with my bikes, especially boo XC (and I have that top end too).

O hell the Sportsters, Dyna's and the like shake like a freaking washing machine *unbalanced* at the stop signs at idle. They smooths out a bit in the upper RPM range. I guess the Sportster is the absolute worst riding rattling one of the bunch.

I will be glad to put the Harley saga behind me Bike and all...

I am a sportrider/thrillseeker at heart and always will be!

It would be so cool to ride with some of you guys!

Although I would probably be the old man outta the bunch. :yo:

A maybe will have to do for riding with this bunch, but you would have to swear not to do any of that fag stuff in public.

    like the paint jobs

dislike the noise & and 'image',

always thought the best sounding HDs are the ones with stock pipes

otherwise, the one's with stoopid loud pipes coupled with all that vibration makes me think of split pea soup boiling in a pot without a lid and it splatters all over the top of the stove making a mess

I can give you a look if you promise to ride your Harley and refrain from any lustful moves toward the rest of the dudes that show up. Some are very sensitive.

Be a little more attentive to the punctuation too. A look does not have the same meaning as possession. The spanking will come later on the ride when we shall see who is fast and who ain't.

Well, I USED to hate them and BY and LARGE I still do hate them, but I took a good look at the V-rod, and it actually looked like there was some substance there. Good machining, nice parts. I have no idea how reliable they are or how well they handle or how well they perform though.
