This makes no sense. It is equivalent to saying "I felt sorry for that rapist who got shot by the father of the girl he was raping" or "I felt sorry for the Japanese when the US declared war on them after the Imperial Navy attacked Pearl Harbor". - Why on Earth would you feel even the slightest sympathy for the instigator of this incident? He was acting like a cock and has reaped the rewards of his own choices.
Personally, I hope he dies from his injuries. That way, should the inevitable lawsuit go against the driver of the RR, at least the idiot on the bike won't get a cent out of it. (His wife might but he will be in a grave somewhere.)

 

I think he got tossed off "Dancing with the Stars" too.

Next we will hear from the nutcases like Wayne Lapierre who will be talking like everyone in the fucking universe should be packing an American Eagle to protect themselves from biker gangs even in places where there are no towns, people or bikers or harleydoods.

Jeez Rainbow7 that's a rather harsh and disproportionate comparison, as far as I could see he didn't declare all out war on the US or rape anyone although admit the Vid is a little blurry in parts so suppose it's possible.

It's obvious from my posts I condemn his and his fellow stunter's and understand the SUV drivers actions as reasonable given the circumstances but don't think he was the Gixxer rider who was the real cause and most culpable, perhaps "full" is wrong but my sympathy goes to the life destroying pain he and his family will endure forever regardless of his poor choice.

Did you not see the video footage of his fellow criminals attacking the driver of the RR and beating the piss out of him? Look into the background of those "bikers". - They are a group who routinely commit criminal acts en masse. Birds of a feather chimp out together...

This after that skinhead lawyer on the tube stood there and in his best ambulance chasing tone tried to convey that the two incidents were unrelated. We will also hear from famed lawyer Gloria Allred who has been "hired" by the family of the injured party. Hired my ass, that outfit couldn't afford ten seconds of her time. Mz Allred has designs on suing the City of NY.

So, I find interesting that the media linked this group to the "Hollywood Stunt riders"; yet all the associated video of that group shows them stunting almost continuously and most not wearing any gear. The group in this video doesn't appear to be stunting at all, and almost all of them have full or almost full gear. Several have backpacks on, and several are riding two-up, not the same "crazy street stunters" as the other videos...

The guy who gets hit from behind, on the white bike that starts it all, if you watch carefully, is looking over his left shoulder, and the Range Rover is directly behind, but to his right, so he may not have seen it at all, and he didn't brake, his brake light was not on, he simply appears to get off the gas and slow down.

I'm not saying this is all excused, and I understand the driver was likely panicking, but, last I checked, panicking doesn't excuse running over three bikers either...

I'm all for ticketing the riders for not being safer, but the driver shouldn't get off scott free either...

A couple times I have gotten caught up in other people's bullshit by simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time. In one case it was behind the people who had the firearms. In another case, my friend put his hands up and said he didn't want to fight after the riot broke out. He was rewarded for his consideration by being hit from the blind side and having his jaw broken in two. In both cases I analyzed my situation quickly and aggressed my way to a defensible position. In the case with my friend, I aggressed to his position, picked him up and retreated to the kitchen far away from people who had firearms and where I could arm myself with a whole lot of stuff if necessary. In both cases, I knocked a few people around because they were between me and safety and it was the right call. Remember that rule number one of an ambush is no retreat. You attack into the ambush.

So let's think about what Mr. Kim (SUV driver) had to deal with. No matter what else happened first, the bike rider created the physical contact. So Mr. Kim stopped, perhaps to try and asses. At that point the rest of the bikers penned him in and starting attacking the vehicle. Knowing what I know and remembering good old Reginald Denny as stated earlier, I would not advise him to wait around to find out what this now violent mob is thinking. I would advise him to honk twice and roll on. If the bikers decided to illegally stop in the middle of a damned freeway to be part of the mob that is physically assaulting him and his family, it is their own damned fault for choosing to be part of a very bad situation.

The one thing Mr. Kim should have done different is he should have driven about 30 mph and weaved side to side while his wife called the cops. Anybody trying to stop him by blocking him on a bike would deserve whatever they got and he could have bought a lot of time for the police to show up and defuse the situation.

Before he stopped, who knows what choices Mr. Kim made that might have escalated the situation. If I was in his shoes, I don't know that I would have done much different AFTER he stopped and was attacked.

I'm just saying.
