Texas three sisters ride?

Me too. I am thinking I could do this but I would have to ride down on Friday (I am coming from far N. Texas) Do you have a place in mind where we would all meet? I'll split the cost of a room with someone.

 

I should be/might be able to go. Ill be staying at a friends in S. Austin and Ill see if he would like to go.

 

How could i forget lost maples!? Lol its RIGHT on one of the highways. I was thinking closer to pipe creek. If you guys want to camp at my place i can accomodate at no cost, inside rooms are taken for now though XD I could set up a tent at least lol I live on the NW side of San Antonio, about 30-40 minutes from our meetup location at pipe creek. I think government canyon may have camping too, its really close to my place and we could do a camp out, with my pops supplying the ammenities (would have to clear it with him of course XD) There are lots of options, but if you want boarding in san antonio, youre covered.

 

Ill have an answer tonight as to how many people i can host. Looks good for up to 5 people right now though

 

Soooo apparently my family has plans on friday night, go figure! (has to do with my birthday stuff apparently =p) As of now, I can't host any sleepers at my house. If anything changes on that note, I'll let you know. Cheapest hotels here are around 64-80 (not too bad of a hotel either)

 

For those folks looking for a place to stay / camp, Garner State Park is only about 25 - 30 minutes away from Lost Maples State Park. There is also a little store at the park that has just about anything you'll need for a camping trip, including some food.

IIRC, the tent sites are about $18 per night.

 

Okay, I'm making an executive descision to save people money and make it so we aren't spread all over texas XD I will reserve a campsite at Government Canyon for $18, they now allow fri/sat camping so it's perfect for us. I put out a reservation for 6-8 people, and I should also be able to provide a huge ass tent + bed stuff (7-8 people tent, should have space) As far as food goes, I have no idea yet XD Idk if we want to do a pitch-in or have me get it all, or some other sort of deal XD

Anyone coming from Dallas or Houston I REALLY recommend you come camping XD it would be a super long ass ride all day long if you didn't get to take a break to rest your cheeks.
Anyone who isn't coming from really far away, join us anyways!

 

And there we are ^^ This park is right on 16, which is a fun road on its own that leads to Pipe Creek. It's really the ideal location for a good day of riding XD

I would love to join you camping but I am lacking gear and an adventuresome spirit. (The term "Adventuresome spirit" is code for not sleeping too well on the ground.) I'll be riding down Friday night and getting a room. If anyone, coming from the North wants to ride with me and or split the cost of a room I am games. As for the pace, I don't plan to get killed by playing "Ricky Race" at this stage of my life. I was never fast to start with and I am not planning on being fast now. That said, I do ride faster than most packs of Harley dudes and dudets.

 

I'm local so i can supply the camping gear. If you want I can see about an inflatable bed too XD but you'll have to fend off others for it lol Or you should chill at the campsite with us and then go to the hotel for the sleeps. I also have 2 tent hammocks if you just hate all of those options XD

 

I've done the I-10/I-8 run from San Antonio to San Diego county on a bike. My condolences if you make the trip. Next time I go there to ride the bike will be in the back of the truck.

Seems odd that they wouldn't let you reschedule at all =/ it's not like you're trying to get out of it.

San Diego and the surrounding are great but anything closer to the border of AZ is all flat and boring. Let me know if you in town will hit some road and some breweries :thumb:
