Any issue with taking a dremel type tool to a fuel filter to cut it open and check it out? I just had mine replaced and I would just like to see what it looks like inside, I'll even post up photos but I don't want to catch on fire, so wasn't sure if it was smart to take a dremel type tool to it. Anyone know?
I'm guessin' you could probably rinse it out or something. And maybe keep a fire extinguisher handy...:kaboom:
Cut through one of the endcaps and pull out the element, spread out input side pleats for inspection. What you see there is what's floating around in the tank. Without fire mankind would still be in the stone age, so be brave, Bunky, and just dive in ! Extinguisher, Phil ?? Sometimes extinguishers cause more damage than they cure.
