I remember those, I has one on the front of the viffer too for a little while. Think I even low-sided with it, lost the front end...

    Nice work, nice bike...

    Thanks.

The comp K held until they didn't, the radials are such a leap forward in handling for this old bike.

I think all of the oldies would benefit from them. With the introduction of the new cb1100f there are now 18" radials that will fit my old rz350 now. I would like to give them a try.

Just for the record, if ppl are doing this for handling purposes and trying to work toward eliminating head shake, I found this after extensive searching. I don't know of another that will fit our bikes, and I'm yet to get it installed, but it sure looks promising.

That particular one says for 87-88 bikes. The 86-87 had 37mm forks and the 88-89 had 41mm forks. Even though braces fit onto the lower part of the leg I'm pretty sure there's going to be a difference in the brace dimensions. You would need to verify the year it's for.

I had a brace on my forks and still had headshake.

Sweet! It's pretty cheap too. I have an old Telefix on mine, but nice to know there's still some out there. I believe they help, my vfr is rock solid at speed and handles like a modern bike now....with all the other additional mods included. The whole being greater than the sum of the parts that is.

Yup, it's not a cure all. All other steering componets need to be in order as well. Forks braces help prevent independant fork action and twisting. My head shake upon deceleration was cured with upgraded radial tires and proper torque on the headset bearings.
