So I have my 6th gen up to 14k on the meter and the owners manual says I should have changed air cleaner, brake fluid, clutch fluid, oil and filter. I need some recommendations on what to buy and where to buy it. please. :)

Oil has a number of threads on the forum and unless you already have a preference, be prepaired for a lot of options/opinions thrown at you. The most common oil filters are Honda OEM, K&N, Purolator and Emgo. Again, many options and many opinions. I went with Shell Rotella T6 synthetic Oil and Purolator Oil filter, after reading a few threads and and a report on oil filters and their capabilities and qualities. I'll see if I can find those links and post them here or you can do a search on the forum for oil filters to find the link.

As far as brake fluid, any DOT 4 should do, again many options/opinions. I grabbed some Valvoline synthetic stuff at Pep Boys as it was the biggest size they had and I have 3 bikes that I service, so it's what worked for me. The key is to flush out all the old fluid and replace it with new fluid but without introducing any air in the line. A vacuum bleeder or speed bleeders come in handy here.

Regarding air filters, very similar to oil filters, there's Honda OEM, K&N, Emgo, BMC, PiperCross. All depends on your budget and preference. Note that the K&N, BMC and PiperCross are reusable filters, which means you can keep using them for the life of the vehicle, you just need to clean and recoil them.

Where to buy all this stuff? Oil/brake fluid can be bought at just about any auto parts store, just stay away from oils that say "energy conserving". Oil/air filters, other than Honda OEM, can typically be found online at Amazon or at motorcycle specific shops I.e. Motorcycle Super Store, Competition Accessories, Revzilla, etc. If your shopping for Honda parts, go to your local Shop or try Ronayers.com or Partzilla.com

Also, if you have not already, pick up the Honda Service Manual. There's a link somewhere on the forum but that one always eludes me. Hopefully more people will show up and put their two cents in. And by the way, Welcome to The World, you may want to post up a proper introduction and post pics of your ride too.

    Cheers!

No worries. As far as viscosity, DOT 4 is DOT4, so there are no sub choices, other than DOT3/DOT4 or some other mix of DOT classifications, at least that I am aware of. Rotella T6 only comes in 5W-40, so again, can't mistake this one. I did find the oil filter thread and the cross reference chart link. (See below)

I almost forgot about engine coolant. Most opt for the standard 50/50 Coolant mix (Prestone, Peak, etc.), just stay away from products that have silicate in them. Two other popular options are Engine Ice or Water Wetter, as these are not glycol based and most track day organizers allow these two to be used vs. the glycol based stuff. I just put Engine Ice in both my VFRs and so far no issues (not that I would expect any). Like brake bleeding, getting the air out of the lines is crucial to performance.
