Hi from Oxford in the UK. Just bought a lovely mint 1990 750 FL . its a lovely bike and I am the second owner.

I do however have a couple of questions ??? are there any mods that can be done to this bike , Suspension is all good but I really want to make it a bit noisier. Its like a sewing machine and I cannot even hear the exhaust . It hasnt got an of that PAIR malarky but ive read about removing the snorkel but does this make it sound any better or does it just give it a flat spot???
Also are the single seat humps for these bike that rare , i have two genuine ones with the pads on but I dont think it looks any better with it on so what are they worth ???
Look forward to hearing from you all

My guess for the rear cowl would be around $100.00 USD or more depend on how bad people willing to pay.

Hello and welcome mate! That is one beautiful 3rd gen you got there. Squirrelman and Toecutter are two of the resident experts on 3rd gen bikes. If they do not chime in, you can contact them, and/or post in the 3rd gen forum for better visibility.

Scuba is spot on when he states that the rear cowl is worth somewhere around $100 each (U.S.) assuming they are in good cosmetic shape are no broken tabs. It looks like you've already got an aftermarket exhaust so there isn't really anything you can do to make it much louder. I suspect the "sewing machine" sound you are talking about are the gear driven cams not the exhaust itself. Most people love the whirring sound of the gear driven cams on the older VFR's.
