    Hi,
since the wind knocked my bike over while the previous owner had it, I've been looking to replace the right fairing peice. it's not that bad, but I want it to look perfect. Soooo... I went to the honda dealer today to get a price. $485!!!!! For $20 more, I can have this:
    Honda VFR 800 VFR800 02 08 2008 2007 2006 2005 2003 2002 Fairing Body Kit 4 | eBay

Has anyone used fairings like this before? are they junk?

I really like the RWB, since it looks like the 85 interceptor I sold last year. If I got the real honda RWB tank, would it match? Would it look like a real RWB or an obvious fake?

    Thanks

They are Chinese fairing they are not that great. If you don't might the mismatch of paint and misalign of attachment holes. Jethro can chimp in and let you now more in details. Someone post a link for a complete fairing from a company in Florida around $550 and guarantee it fit like OEM .....let me see if I can find the link

It think it would be cheaper to send the fairing for fairing repair (through plastic welding and fiber glasing), and paint.

I bought a set for my 1998 VFR and they were terrible. Color was not even close and they came with scratches and gouges in the paint. A few spots were the paint fisheyed down to the plastic. That was $500 wasted.

They don't need plastic repair, I just want perfect paint. You know that as soon as we start talking about painting, we are going to have $100 at least in materials, $500 in labor, and it might not even match correctly

If you want perfect paint (not to mention fit) then eBay plastic kits are not the solution you are looking for.

You need to talk to some other painters or just spring for a new panel. If your bike is red it's not going to match anyway. Lots of vinyl graphics out there too and some painters have the ability to do some paint licks that are cosmetic and look good too.

    Bottom line IMO: stockers suck.

The wind knocked my bike over for the previous owner :spit:

We need a previous owner thread that documents and keeps record of all the stupid shit previous owners did.
