The Moto3 race was excellent, with 5 riders swapping positions multiple times per lap. The tactical perfection of Luis Saloms move to keep Maverick Vinales and Alex Rinns behind him on the last lap was a great piece of racecraft. The improvement from Alex Rinns, Alex Marquez and Luis Salom should keep Maverick Vinales in check and make for a great championship. Miguel Olivera and the Mahindra team also deserve a little nod, as Miguel is putting the Mahindra at the sharp end of the field and the team has worked pretty hard to make the machine competitive after a difficult year in 2012.

Moto2 has also proved to be anything but what most people thought was going to play out. Pol Espargaro has been struggling ever since his opening win in Qatar for the Pons Tuenti Team and Scott Redding has a substantial lead following Mugello. His newfound patience and consistency seems to work pretty well with the outright pace he has always had. Nico Terol has started to come around after a less than stellar year in 2012, after arriving in Moto2 as the last 125cc champion in 2011. Johann Zarco has shown that he learned quite a bit in his first year in the axe murderer class and is definitely on the pace so far. Tito Rabat has also ridden very well early on in the championship.

As for MotoGP.......nothing exciting will happen until 2014.....Next year is going to be interesting, at least initially.

...and Norcalboy is still my favorite grandstand princess.

I must someday download the Jedi Mindthing so as to keep current with all this inside stuff and prognostications that y'all share. I figure if I do that and make book on some of this shit, I can get one of the new VFRs when they come out.

I agree too even though the above copy is an RCH away from plagiarizing the post on moto gp. com. I learned how to copy and paste in stuff into Google and darned if some of "info" was already up there written by somebody else. Kind of like 8th graders copying stuff from the Encyclopedia and handing it in as an essay then wondering how in the hell the teacher knew. LOL

Hmm no comments after the latest race? Or is everyone too busy penning up letters to the Catalunya officials regarding the wrecks at turn 10? And shame on Speed Channel for showing all those replays of wrecks...
I don't think Horrible William has attacked anyone this week someone step up and comment :potstir:

Norcal, is there somthin I don't know about 2014 ??? Ya , sucks that Nickey crashed out-that turn 10 was lowsidein everyone----think they should take out that lip on the edge so when the bikes slide and hit it from a lowslide they don't take off and do somersault's. Still have 2 to watch, crackin a beer RIGHT NOW for it :drinkers:

Turn 10 was brutal for sure, although the low sides were the only entertaining part of this race. Hayden was looking pretty good and could have made it interesting along with Crutchlow.

Marquez made it a bit interesting at the end when he nearly high sided, but other than that it was follow the leader for the most part.

When Lorenzo is on he looks like a robot...makes it look so easy to go so fast.

Suzuki is officially back in motogp for 2014. I'm not a fan of the brand, but I hope they're competitive.

Be patient. The dudes who get off to get offs are probably busy watching tractor pulls while being whipped by cross dressing dominatrix

As they say; "Right, normal service has resumed." Of course, I don't think that's really true, given where the rest of the top riders finished; it really was anything but "normal"...

Marquez, still sticking it to the man.

I scoffed at Honda's choice at first. How wrong I was.

See you all at Laguna Seca this weekend!!!!

Hard to complain about that result with Big Red at the top of the podium and Rossi finishing third.

They announced his passing on Sunday at the track with a moment of silence.

    Sad.
