I was thinking about wrapping my headers to ease off the roasting of the nuts sensation that I'm feeling in traffic. Just wondering if anyone has done this and noticed a difference in radiant heat and/or engine temps.

    Thanks in advance!

Don't do it; it'll just make your headers go rusty.

I get more right foot/ankle roast than I do nut roast. Wonder what would help with that? Do they make any kind of heat shield to go down there?

Yeah doubt it would be, not without investing in aftermarket headers.

You should try a Ducati superbike! Then you would appreciate the comfort and style of the Viffer. Of course none of the bikes were mae to be comfy in stop and go 100 deg traffic.

There is a heat shield down there but little to no air flow to help dissipate the heat.

CermaKrome isn't all that expensive and it looks amazing. I had the headers on my Hayabusa coated with it and I'd do it again.

I'm having some cat-less headers I bought for the '01 ceramic coated locally, it's gonna run about $200. This includes the "chemical waste disposal" fee.
