Stock seat & exhaust give away

Hello, all,
I have been a lurker on the list for a while. I live in NYC and lost my 95 VFR during Hurricane Sandy, Have replaced it with a 99 that I am crazy about... Cleaning out a storage space and I found two things from my 95 that I need get rid of, a stock seat (lost the Corbin in the storm) and a Stayintune exhaust that I removed when I went back to stock pipes a few years ago. Anyone in the NYC area want either or both - FREE ? Just want to get rid of them. Would need to pick them up, don't want to mail.

I'll pay you postage + some more to put that Staintune in a box and mail it to Vermont. If you're into snowboarding, I can hook it up, too.

Vt viffer that rwb is awesome looking on your bike. I wish i had the balls to paint over my red but it is still in good shape. By the way what does snowboarding have to do with anything?

But I believe he was offering to take you snowboarding in exchange for your Staintune exhaust.

 

I wondered if the OP snowboarded - I've got tons of lightly used Burton gear that I'd send his way in trade for the Staintune to convince him to change his mind about not shipping. I could also finagle up a trip to Stowe, too.

 

Does he get to hot tub with you afterwards?? LOL

The OP has a part that he has offered to give away.
Said part fits my bike, and I would love to have it - it would be a nice finisher to my ongoing project.
Driving 7 hours to NYC to pick it up in person is not something I can do.
I offered to pay for shipping (and then some) for said part; and/or offered up something to trade of greater than equal value for the part; or some combination of the above.

I don't understand why people who don't have a dog in the fight (or a VFR the part will even fit) are insistent upon name calling ('knuckledragger who banged his dome one too many times') or suggesting that I was trying to get the OP in a hot tub. Come on, guys - this isn't second grade...

If you look at the rest of my post, I also mentioned that perhaps you were intending to trade a snowboarding trip in exchange for the exhaust, since you specifically said

This was based on the fact that some other dude didn't understand why you were talking about snowboarding.

Me, being the genius that I am, surmised that since you lived in VT, you had "connections" to good boarding, or was possibly even an instructor. Sure I was wrong, but at least I was in the ballpark. And hence, I was trying to help you make the connection and let the OP know you were willing to barter for said item.
