Poor starting on a 3rd gen

    -91 750 F. 65 000 miles.
    She runs fine but cold starting seems like hard work for her.
    With the choke pulled, I get about 1200 rpm and as it warms up revs go down.
    Valve clearances have been checked and they turned out fine.
    Choke cable routing and choke functioning are seemingly ok.
    Any thoughts?

    Plugged enrichment circuit pickup tubes?? Gotta be able to probe with a .012" steel wire to a depth of about 45mm to be certain the tubes are clear and the "choke" is working.

    Always turn the choke off as soon as possible (30 seconds max), and use the idle adjustment screw to get your fast-idle warmup.
