Epic fail, I downloaded the service book for the bike, found out that it should have a center stand. Well I've never seen it so I went and took the bike out last night and went looking for it. It's not there. FML.
I'll post some pics like tonight or tomorrow, we can all laugh about it.

    Things to do on bike:
    1.Install Centerstand
2.Fix left hand side mirror (the wind keeps pushing it down)-if any one knows how to fix this quickly, shout it out. I haven't really started looking but if you know that would be cool.
    3.Change oil, and filter
    4.Change spark plugs
    5.change chain and sprokets
    6.Put new tires on
7.Bleed brakelines/or risk putting in more fluid, (dont know what was put in before, heard that you shouldn't mix fluids, is this true?)

Cant think of anything else/I dont know better to change anything else, But I am sure that I'll find things along the way, stay tuned for pics

So I was just wondering, I remember reading something that people complain about the fairing clips on the 92's, that they break and are hard to come by. Anyone know whats the deal with these, and if they are a problem what can be done about them and where can I get more.

I don't know what the faring clips on a '92 look like, but if they are the same as the 6th gen, then yes, they break easily and are shitty clips. And expensive too. You can get a package of 10 of these for the price you pay for one clip from a dealership. I personally think they are better designed too. Read the specs then measure your clips to make sure you order the correct clip. Auckland Granger sells them in the USA but us poor deprived bastards in Canada have to order them on line and pay a stupid amount of shipping costs for them. I do see that they are available in Moscow Russia though. Must be some downfall of the Canada/USA free trade agreement.

HAHA, well I'm in Alaska, so I'll have to pay some huge shipping price too, and thanks for the link. I wanna say that the ones I have are metal, but I think these can work too. We will see, and if thats the case NAPA and places like that sell these so maybe dont order them online.

Here are some pictures of my short ride to Seward, Alaska.
This is where they had like the whole Exxon oil spill back in the day.
It was a short 2.5 hour ride from the city of Anchorage, Alaska where I live.
Would have posted more pictures of the ride down, it was very nice to see the ocean and all, but I actually hadn't planned on going there, just hopped on and kept on going. Plus it was super cold, as you can see from the snow, it was about 40 F, and I don’t have like legit gear or anything.
Next time I'll take pictures of the other side, and along the way. Also will post some of Exit Glacier.
Esp. of the mountain pass to get there, super legit, saw like a hundred people parked along the side of the road walking up the sides of mountains and skiing down.
I'll be posting more as I train up and prepare for by super trip.
Went to Talkeetna, Alaska the other day too, but didn’t stop to take pics. It was 35F and getting very late, in total it was about a 5 hour ride. They filmed a Man vs. Food episode there, next time I'll do the challenge!!! Also saw mount McKinley.
    Enjoy.

I have ridden in Alaska most of my life- I grew up in Anchorage, only moved to Hawaii in 2010. Have ridden the Alcan many times, have 200k miles on my 1985 Sabre, many of those miles done in the same places you are riding now. Wish I would have seen the post earler LOL. If you plan on riding back to the "lower 48" and have some time, take the "Dust to Dawson" ride (usually on solctice every year) - go to Alaska Fur and Leather to see all kinds of rides and such. It is traditional to take the "Girdwood from Taco bell" ride on Fridays IIRC. Ask Barb at Alaska Fur and leather for current things going on- and log on to ADVrider on the Alaska section ASAP. Also- if you log on there, there is a rider that goes by the handle AKduc. His name is Mark, and he works at REI and is a very long time friend of mine. Look him up for ALL the goings on bike wise. He is a total bike whore and has several bikes and rides year around on his KLR650 as well.

The challenge at the Talketna road house is impossible! Took me three days to eat that monster burger LOL
