Out of the brands that have been mentioned, I STILL think that most of them look too racey. I'd like to have a longer coat that has a split in the back so that you don't end up sitting on the coat tail. I'm really not too sure who makes nice stuff, but I'd like to know. Check out the guy in the CB1100 promotional video: OFFICIAL 2010 Honda CB 1100 "A Day of Freedom" LEVY ENTERTAINMENT GROUP "Endless Skies" - YouTube
See that guy's jacket? Now that's class! Anyone recognize it?

i am one paycheck away from ordering an icon motorhead jacket. been layering up under my teknic impulse textile jacket and freezing my nuts off anyway. but the gas im saving versus my truck is getting me my leather quicker. not sure if im paying for the name or the quality but, it looks like a nice quality piece with just enough style without the ricky racer look. and armor to boot. when i get it i will post a review for you guys. im expecting to be very happy with it. and warmer!

That same jacket was used on some shoots with The Village People a few years back.

I have to admit...the ICON jackets LOOK FANTASTIC! But every time I try one on, I realize that they aren't for me! Maybe it's my age!!

Who might be the first to ask, if out of the hundreds of jacket designs, one or more make them look fat, has not yet been asked. Being a kindly group in general we will try to be truthful in case the question arises.

For the deep pocket dudes who "just can't seem to find a thing" , try Bates or Langlitz.

I posted this on another thread about riding gear:

I really, really like the jacket my wife got me for Christmas. It's a Fieldsheer Razor 2.0. Great liner, excellent armor, pockets in the right places, and venting for warmer weather. I located and added the optional back armor in place of the soft padding.

Rode 4 1/2 hours to Birmingham & then home on chilly December 28th. Hands were a little cold, and feet were getting there, but my torso and legs stayed warm. Don't want to stress test it, but I think the protection would be at least as good as any of the other mid price ($500 retail) jackets out there. My wife didn't pay that much, of course. :thumb:

Don't encourage Badbilly in any way. He can self propel to amazing levels and plumb the depths of human degradation at near mythical levels. Oh shit! I just encouraged him, didn't I?
