And I thought MX was dangerous. Great pictures Long. I see what you're saying that the bike could make a huge difference. A CRF250X has plenty of motor and weighs something like 240 lbs. I'm glad that your injury hasn't deterred your enthusiasm

Wow Long, save for the trip over the bars that must have been a heck of a trip. The pics are amazing and the scenery was fantastic. Maybe some day I will make it down that way with my son (once he is old enough to ride) and we can try out Death Valley for ourselves. Hope you're feeling better fast.

I think every thing is dangerous even walking
I was under estimate the trail, and I am just unlucky landing on the shouder at a very slow speed no more than 5 miles.

Keep the US Memorial Day Long weekend in mind for next year and come down to R3 2014 with me. I will likely continue on to the east coast from there but you are welcome to join me in yet another attempt at the Canada to Mexico 24 hour Iron Butt. That is usually the last weekend in May. You are welcome to ride or trailer to Chilliwack and stop over here before we head out. I am only about 20 minutes from the Sumas border crossing.

 

Randy if you are doing coast to coast next year......We should talk

 

Thinking about it but at a liesure pace after R3. Was considering a two or so month trip. But that is a huge maybe .

 

Great report. Get well soon. If you come to the Midwest next year, stop by me in Chicago. I can show you some real crappy flat roads with lots of traffic. Ah... But the pizza, Italian beef, hot dogs and beer are pretty spectacular.

Thanks for the offer Maggot. I will keep you on my list. I have the opportunity spend some time on Chicago during the 90s love the city. Lake shore Dr and Rush street are my favorite.
