Moronic car driver reversed into my VFR Wednesday morning.

On my way home after night shift, stopped to buy newspapers. I was just about to leave the shop when I heard a "crunch", I looked out to see my bike on its right hand side. :frown: Said moron driver helped me get the bike back on two wheels, at least there didn't appear to be any fairing damage.

Took the bike to my dealer that afternoon, they noted a fair list of parts with damage...

    Right rider footpeg & bracket
    Right pillion footpeg & bracket
    Rear brake pedal
    Right front indicator
    Right mirror
    Right bar end
    Left front indicator
    Left mirror
    Left front fairing
A few other bits & pieces that I've forgotten

I recently discovered that my insurance hadn't actually been renewed when I thought it had. Got that sorted in February, just in time...

Filled out the insurance claim Friday morning, now I have to wait for the assessor to view the bike.

Why are you going to your insurance? Wouldn't the moron's insurance be responsible for this?

That's how it works in Australia. I claim from my insurance company, they then get the money from the insurance company of the driver at fault.

Hopefully they get it fixed up quick, you still have some great riding weather to take advantage of before winter sets in. Good Luck!!

Bike is ridable (& I have been riding it), it's just superficial damage.
