Pretty cool. The VFR is no slouch. It has more than enough motor for my needs.

You have any trouble with the rr and stator yet? or the blue connection or cam chain tensioners?
I've had a few bumps along the road but the engine and drivetrain is solid, but my tail section and taillight bounces all over the place.

thats pretty cool jonathan. glad to see ur out and enjoying ur bike! i havent taken mine to the drag strip yet but i red on the internet that honda says these bikes run a 11.17 stock. guess they were optimistic. or just different conditions, different rider
i need to get to the strip one night (i hate shift work) and we can have a virtual drag race!

yeah that's with a professional driver spending the whole day at the track and I am not sure if they strap the front end or not for those tests. I think with a whole day at the track by my self I could drop my times some more. But I am up on them on the trap speed though. The fastest that I have seen test show so far is 119.5 mph, and I am up to 122.5 mph already. So I've got the power to go faster, I just need to work on my launching. I basically just leave at 4000-5000 rpms. Leaving higher than that requires some big balls lol.

Ironic you asked the question about the r/r and stator. I had to replace both a week ago. The connector burnt up due to the stator puting out an over voltage. But I'm back on the road now

the connector burnt up due to it being a poor design. it gets dirty and builds up heat and resistance easily. you should cut it out and direct solder it or replace it with a better weather tight connection.

Would puting some dielectric grease in the connection and tightly wrapping the connector on both sides of the connection with electric tape work to alleviate the problem?

no dielectric grease will make it worse. if you break the name dielectric grease down, it tells you what it is, grease that does NOT conduct electricity. this is bad. when you pass large amounts of current through dielectric grease it heats up and dries out, turning into this corrosive green powder. you do not want this!

haha yeah i think that might be part of the reason why i had so many issues with my bike. because i went through all the connections on my bike all cleaned them and then packed them full of dielectric grease. within a yeah i started having problems. when i took the connections apart i found that where i had put the dielectric grease was now just green powder. i felt pretty dumb... lol

Thanks for the heads up before I made a move like that. I'm thinking for that cone s for just wrapping it with electrical tape. I don't want to direct solder it in casei have a future problem with of the two.

thats something that i need to make the time to do. also think i might be needing a battery soon. she dont turn over real fast and dont fire right up. and i can smell electrical heat from time to time.

I dont see a reason to not direct solder them. if a problem should arise, guess what? youre replacing replacing both of them. lol
just wire in a voltmeter so you can stay ahead of that problem.

I mean really anything you do to the rr/stator connection will be better than the factory connection. I burned through two of them before I just decided to direct solder them.
