I kinda feel like my sex life right now. Insignificant. Shit. I have barely drive as many vehicles as bikes posted by some here and I used to manage a fleet of cars.

Back to the two wheeled buggies:
    A Free Spirit circa 1982
    1990 Rocky Mountain Edge
    2001 Specialized Enduro
    2004 Specialized Enduro

    You didn't specifically say motorcycle.

Nope, I was specifically vague in my opening. It is really only limited to the 2 wheeled variety of transportation.
Listing cars would make me feel like I belong here more, for sheer quantity. LOL

As others have said, not necessarily in order. It all started in 68.
    Suzuki A100
    Bridgestone 175
    Bridgestone 350GT
    Honda CB250
    Suzuki 200
    Suzuki GSX250
    Yamaha XS400
    Kawasaki Z650
    Yamaha XZ550 (2)
    GR650 Suzuki
    Kawasaki Z500
    Moto Morini 500 SEI
    Moto Guzzi 500 Monza
Moto Guzzi Le Mans 1000 Mkiv
    BMW K100
    BMW R65
    Suzuki GS500
    Honda CBR600
& now the VFR800. Not to bad considering I had the CBR for 13 years.
    I've always counted 20, but having a nagging suspicion I've missed 1 or 2, but can never remember what?.... But that's the 60's (& 70's & 80's, what doesn't kill you , only makes you strong:smokin::dizzy: )

I have found that the older I get, the more likely I am to hang on to a bike.

I am in the same boat. I am sure I have forgotten at least 1 or 2 or maybe more. Until this thread made me think about what I had and in what order, I didn't realize how many bikes I have owned. It actually makes me kind of sick :)

I don't understand your question. Are there other kinds of bikes I am not aware of? These are leading technology bikes. Now the have the front and rear wheels being the same size, and you don't need a ladder to get on them.

Well......I still have my previous bike. It's a '93 Kawasaki EX500 with a Muzzy performance exhaust and custom paint job. What got me on this bike was the incredible sound that Muzzy pipe gave the engine. Previous owner had the bike jetted and dyno'd to ensure great performance. My VFR 750 is also a '93. Hymmmm.....maybe I'm mentally stuck in that year. Here are a few pics of the Kaw:

Prior to this VFR, and in order:

2011 Ninja 1000 (ZX1000G...NOT ZX10) still have it, trying to sell it.
    2007 VFR RWB
    2005 ZX10
    2007 ZX10
    2004 ZX10
2001 CBR600F4i this bastard left me sit on the interstate, like a Harley....swore to GOD it would be my last Honda, but I guess not :)
2000 ZX9R...without question my favorite bike of all time. In 32,500 miles of HARD use I changed one fork seal in this bike....bulletproof.
1999 CBR600F4 Turned this one into a racebike, and it left me sit on the track with 3 corners to go last race of the season....R/R failure.
    1998 YZF600
1992 750 Nighthawk first bike...but quickly learned it was WAAAAY to slow against my buddies on VFR's, XX's, and pretty much anything else ;)

Hmmmmm, Let's see now, started riding at 22 with a Honda CB400 (owned a Honda Civic at the time) which I purchased from a friend of mine. This was his first bike, and then I bought his second bike when he was finished with that one (the 1986 CB750). After the 1984 CB900 Custom there was a 4 year gap in riding and I was then introduced to the world of the VFR and, as of this point, have yet to look back at any other style of bike. The VFR just seems to be the best fit.

    1984 CB400
    1986 CB750 Nighthawk
    1985 CB900F
    1984 CB900 Custom
    1985 VF1000F
    1991 VFR750
    1997 VFR750
    2000 VFR800

I had a 1966 Suzuki 150, a Suzuki 250 X-6, a BSA 441 Victor, a Triumph Bonnie, a handful of Harleys (FLH and Sportsters), a 1982 Suzuki Katana, then my 83 VFR750. Then a ton of bikes added to the list.

Apex Risers and you're all set.

    Apex Clip-Ons

I'm thinking about getting a set myself just to make it even better.

Just joined the forum, can I play?

198? Honda ATC 125 (Yeah it's got three wheels, but I started riding it when I was 4 years old.)
1974 Honda CBR 125 (My grandfather bought it new, my aunts and uncles all learned to drive on it, now my brothers and I have it. It's getting rebuilt this spring, it will never get sold. I'm pretty sure my niece will grow up driving it. She is 2 years old.)
198? Honda XR 80 (It was my brother's but I got to ride it.)
2000 Honda XR 200 (Rode it like a rented mule.)
2007 Honda CRF 450X (The first bike I actually owned, and brand new at that. Still in the garage.)
2003 VFR 800 (Love affair going on two years this June.)

    How weird is this...
    1976 Honda CB750
    2001 Yamaha TW200
    2004 Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad 1500
    2003 Honda VFR
Polar opposites one to the next!
The only option after this is a literal basketcase Harley.
    NOT happening!
