Replacement plug wires

My plug wires are a mess. The boots are wrapped in black tape and the wires themselves are cracked and showing the core. Besides buying NOS wires are there other applications I can use? For instance on my H1 I can use 7mm auto wires. For the Interceptor I would need something with a long straight boot.
