I just couldn't stay away too long..

I was a happy 5th gen owner for a while.. but I always secretly loved the 6th gen styling more (who doesn't?)..

So, I did something about it...

Sold the 2000 VFR:


And picked this beauty up.. 2004 VFR800A with only 1,498 miles on the clock!


Yeah.. that wasn't a typo.. 1,498 miles!


... I didn't even know that kind of mileage was humanly possible on such an awesome machine.

 

Shit and I thought I scored when I found my 2002 with only 1800 miles in 2011...now it has 12000. Great find..enjoy Bub

I'm trying to keep peace in the house. Wife would have not appreciated 3 bikes..

 

That's brand fucking new Spankie. If you don't mind my asking, what did you pay for it. I would be quick to replace the rubber on that though as it probably has the original rubber which makes it at least 9 years old, so it would be quite dried out.

Take a good look at the chain as well for as the o rings may have failed by now for the same reason.

Nice find and welcome back. A PCV should be at the top of your list for upgrades. After that, the bike is perfect.

 

Tires were replaced last year.. only have ~500 miles on them!
The whole bike was tuned up at the end of last year, actually.

 

How much did you pay for the bike(if you don't want to post it here, can you please send me a PM).. If the price was right, you got a pretty good/well maintained bike..
