    Hello All,

I love my VFR750 but want hard bags for possible longer trips two up. Corbin Beetle bags seemed no where to be found but looked good although small. I saw a picture of someone mounting 6th gen luggage to a 4th gen somewhere but Im not handy enough to rig anything thats not off the shelf although that looks really nice.

So, that said, I been looking for Givi mounting hardware. Some people mentioned that some of the pieces are no longer made for the 4th gen and other than used, would probably be out of luck. I looked online and came across this: Givi Mounting Hardware - Honda Competition Accessories

I filled in the bike make and model and seems the correct part numbers came up.

    Item# Description Qty Price
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------
    Y154+N141 GIVI 3 CASE MNT HRDWR * 1 252.99

Im pretty sure it includes all the hardware needed so I placed an order last night. They called today saying they called Givi and it should ship out in a week or so. My questions are: Is this everything needed to mount Givi bags? Do you think this in an error and they really dont have this item for the VFR750 since it was discontinued? or is it possible they do? I guess I will find out soon enough but the customer service person said they did talk to Givi. I just wanted to post this to see if I was missing something here...your thoughts?

    Thanks in advance!!

I believe that Givi does still make mounting hardware for the 94-97 VFR750, but I think they have discontinued a mount called the Givi Wingrack. This rack allowed you to mount a top and side cases and any combination of the three. If I am correct, it is just the wingrack that was disontinued. A shame to since this particular mounting rack was relatively clean looking even without the luggage cases mounted. When I was tryingh to get some aftermarket luggage for my 2000 VFR I was hoping to get a wingrack mount for my bike, but it had been discontnued as well. Instead I ordered just the top case mounting rack.

Here is the site to check what those numbers are. They are correct if you can still get them. If not I should be able to hook you up. I have the wing rack setup and a tubular side case only mounts.

Got a call from the vendor yesterday stating that they actually did not have the parts and as others have stated on the forum, they are discontinued. Will look into some options. SLOVFR, message sent!

I've got what you need sitting in a box collecting dust. I see you're close, did you make it to the motorcycle show yet? I've been working the show for the last few days and Im beat, you should come out tomorrow. Also, there is a movie showing at cross country BMW next week.

If you want the rack I can bring it with me then.

Movie and food is free, just register so they know how much beer to bring. I registered as 3 people, just to be on the safe side....

This is a good thread for those with 4th gens wanting to mount hardcase.

I got the Givi Top case hardware but had to modify it as it does not clear my high mount 2 bros muffler.
I still have to do some more tweaking.

I ended up getting a high mount exhaust as well and put thoughts of bags on the bike on the back burner for now.

i have had several Ventura racks on my bikes (including my VTR1000) that I just mounted a Givi plate to the rack, and it worked awesome. I think I may go that way again. And use soft luggage for the rare times I need the extra capacity.

I have a top box Givi rack and I also have a Givi wingrack. I have a single Givi case and two JC Whitney Cases. I am selling it all with the motorcycle in the classifieds, but I'd be willing to sell one or both racks (with or without the cases) separately. One of the two JC Whitney cases is wired and has 3 12v power outlets in it for long rides.

Fyi I found a wingrack & softbags when searching for a corbin seat, here: Honda VFR 750 Touring package - Toronto - Kijiji

The wingrack may be like the one I use with my Kappa hard cases, which I think are 40L size). I attached a photo of my cases on my '95, stock exhaust.
