    :VFR1200F:

Everyone should try to understand that the dudes from UK speak English only as a second language, thus the confusion.

Well, in all fairness, this "sub-forum" is for "7th gen - 2010 to present VFR1200F". The Crossrunner and all previous gen VFRs have their own sub-forums here. So I'm afraid it is you indeed who wasn't paying attention. Got everybody's hopes up, dinya?

I hear ya and apologise. But that's what happens when you access the thread from the "forums top ten" rather than drilling down.

Sorry must be the English heritage way back, I'm not sure whether you are still asking me to sell them to you unprotected, or what? If that style of rearsets is what you are after then go for it, they ain't mine.

Yeah right! Try using a ruler.

Have come across that on another VFR forum.

I'm doing my best to get them out there ASAP, you may not like my style though. They look OEM with BENEFITS. If you want them to stand out and IMHO look out of place then you will have to keep looking.

    Cheers Rusty

Some dudes no matter what is going on seem to think by wheedling, crying the fucking blues, asking the same question again and again thinking that somehow if they keep it up who ever has what they think they want is gonna fold.

I love playing poker with dudes like that.

OEM w/ benefits is fine with me. Put me on the list when you have them ready.

Looks like the current alternative is to toss out the regular trannys and install the automatics. Maybe a broomstick with a cuphook on one end would work until somebody comes up with the real deal.

Done! I'm milling up some samples to send to China this week, their turnaround is fast. If it all works out won't be too far away. BTW how far are you looking at going back & up? You may have to consider replacing your rear reservoir, as their is already issues with the RH rear cowl, cracking as standard. Mine are positioned 60mm back & 25mm up. As it turns out the VIFR12 is the worst bike to make for due the shape of the frame points.
I just milled proto 7 which is an over the swingarm rod, bit tricky but so clean.

Love your humour, so different to the whinging poms. Have faith it will happen. From your previous posts you did something similar in the medical field, any tips? It works now and there are not many parts to make, not like the usual types. We don't have much of a manufacturing industry left in OZ, I would love to keep it here, but the cost's are prohibitive.

    Stay tuned

    Cheers Rusty

Off the top of my head dunno, and probably won't until I had an adjustable set mounted. I always have to mount, adjust, ride, adjust, ride, adjust, ride, a couple of times to get an ideal position. I would try your settings first and start there, however.

As far as the rear res....I'll figure something out. Did this on my R1.

Edit: Rusty yours will be fixed pegs right? Meant to ask before.....hope you aren't reusing the crap OEM pegs.......

On my racebike, I ran no rear res at all, just a short length of clear hose with a small airspace in it to allow for heat expansion and a vent cap at the end. It's not like you displace any significant amount of fluid over the life of the rear pads. You're only moving two pistons in the rear vs 12 in the front. And you can still see the fluid level.
