    Hello
Im new to this forum and I rode one of my friend's VFR and loved it and now want to buy one. I don't know what would be a good value for one. KBB prices seem much lower that what CL are being listed for
    Here is the bike
2000 Honda VFR yellow with 9800 miles
    First owner
    Mods : 2 brother exhaust
    Givi monolock top case
    Givi windshield
Helibars (raised 2 inches which makes it more comfortable).
New battery - he showed my the invoice)
    New rear tire
Front tire tread looks good but its uneven (so me thinks it needs to be changed)
New front rotors (showed me the invoice) reason changed was he forgot to remove a wheel lock.

The final price is 3700. Is this fair or is that considered too high.
    Thanks for all your input.

I tried to get it down to 3500 but he won't budge citing the givi trunk and the condition of the bike.

Are you in the US or Canada? I think the prices are little higher in Canada.. If in US, around 3500 is reasonable considering all the add-on's...

I'd pull the trigger for $3700. You're always going to pay a little more when you want a specific vehicle.

Even at $3700 I would say that is a good price. The bike has really low miles, you know the original owner and the bike comes with a lot of add on accessories which on their own are likely worth an extra $1000 if you had to purchase them separately. Don't let the bike slip away or you may kick yourself later, I WOULD.

To update you guys. I gave this guy a deposit when I looked at the bike and he sold it to someone else. It shows that people have no morals.

    Wow dude, that sucks.

Look at the bright side - he ruined his rotor because he was a jackass.

Keep looking, you'll find another one.

(And what VFRod doesn't understand is that yellow is the fastest color. Ever. Trust me, I have one).

Dammit! Came late to this thread. I would have told you not to think and go get it NOW!!!!! That was a great price for that bike. If he took your deposit, I agree it was a douchebag move to not even call you before he took someone else's money.

Not cool to take your deposit and sell it from under you. Given the low level of ethics or morals, maybe it is a blessing in disguise then. Maybe he was hiding something else from you.

I'm about to leave on a 11 to 12 hour trip tonight to go and look at VFR that I have left a deposit on. If I get there, and he has sold on me, can I rely on my VFR brothers to bail me out of jail?

Very excited about this trip, and hopefully by this time tomorrow I will have it on the trailer coming back home.
