But some of it is fictional. You must have sped up the film on some of those corners where there was a 10 mph cautionary speed, for effect!

Damn - I so need to get the VFR out of winter storage!

Nice video. I guess its a perspective thing, but the line-up at 1:50 really makes the 6th gen look thin by comparison with the 5th gen beside it.

    Thanks

Nice Video, made me wish my poor bike was not under tarp in the garage. Ooooh wait I have an idea. All I need to do is run the bike back around to the patio door and in to the theatre room (hold on just about there), put it on the center stand (uuugh, got it) throw on all my riding gear (is it hot in here or is it just me, hmmmmm, must be the exhaust fumes, need some dryer vent hose, think I just killed my wife's Cockatiel), turn on the big screen (oh well 46" will have to do), attach computer to TV and hit play, hop on bike and VOILA, pretend riding. Now, shoulder check as I pull out on to the road with the rest of the pack and what do I see, my 5 year old son gearing up to come with (EXCELLENT, he's got the right idea). It's OK, I can catch up, I HAVE A VFR. Son on board, hop back on, slap down the visor and and my 3 year old daughter waves with an unusally incredulous look on her face. Quick rev of the throttle and here we go. Corner one, wow this is almost like being there, my son grabs on tighter, corner two, FANTASTIC. This could become a new sport for us snow bound individuals. Ah well, back to riding, more throttle just to add to the ambiance, slight jog to the left and lean in for corner three, and WTF,........... where the hell did DORA and BOOTS come from................ Turn around and there's my daughter holding the remote. When did kids get so smart. Ah well, had to end sooner or later.

For us poor Canadians though, would you mind adding a little snow to the side of the roads, perhaps a moose grazing in the ditch, oooh and a semi driver putting on tire chains at the edge of the road just before a big hill. Yeah that would just about do it. LOL

Thanks for the video, it was GREAT. Back to work...........

Thanks for the inspiration zoom-zoom! The more I thought about it, the more I realised that today was the day to finally clear the snow and get into my garage. After twenty minutes of digging I managed to get the door open. Ten minutes more I had the battery hooked up and sure enough the VFR fired up first time after it was put away last September  What an amazing piece of machinery! So so different from my old Suzuki which required days of fiddling to coax it back to life after the winter break.

That VFR noise is so special, and it rapidly attracted the attention of several passing skiers. OK I can't take it for a ride just yet - but I am so happy it lives! All I now need to do is borrow my neighbours ice axe to clear a track through the hard packed ice along about 75 metres of road and I will be able to get the VFR onto clear roads (albeit all the local roads are covered in road salt). As a skier I never thought I would actually be keen to see a short downpour of rain!

Anyway daytime temperatures in Chatel are starting to rise, and Spring is definitely not long off, so I think it won't be more than a couple of weeks before I can take the VFR for its first run this year. I can't wait

Geez I thought we had it bad here in Western Canada. I have had to shovel a lot of snow this winter but I don't think I have ever required the use of an ice axe to clear a path to the road. We woke up Saturday morning and the sun was shining and was about 6*C so I thought I'll run the bike out of the garage and let her run for a bit. After getting the kids up and ready and having some breakfast we went down to the garage and uncovered the bike and pulled her out in to the driveway. I thumbed the starter and your right, first crank, and she rumbled to life. She died shortly there after however as I forgot to pull the plastic bag off the exhaust pipe (used to prevent bug and rodent intrusion). OOPS

My wife went out to do some gardening, the kids played on the swing set and I took the bike for a short spin around the block. Felt great to have some seat time. I thought maybe on Sunday I could take my son for a short ride to the park if it was nice. NOT. Snowed the next morning. This being early spring where I live is the worst time of year. One minute it can be sunny and warmish and then raining, snow, sleet, ice rain.............. LOL. Gets darned annoying at times. LOL Thankfully our riding season here in Kelowna usually starts around late March or early April so riding season is just about here. Woooo Hoooo
