Shopping for PR3's...what's the best price you've found (USA)??

Subject says it all. I've been buying tires from Star Cycle and Chaparral for DECADES because they always have great prices. If one doesn't have them in stock, I check the other, as they're usually within a few bucks of each other. So far they're still the cheapest I can find. $325 for the pair with free shipping from S/C...$327 from Chaparral. Anybody found a better deal here in the states?

Hmmmmm, I come up with $350 for the pair on their site once you select the correct sizes. Did I miss something?

 

Well there is an insurance company they work with, 10% off if you get a quote with them. Could use that to get a discount Guess I derped with my first post lol.

 

You know, now that you mention it, I get a 10% discount for my AMA membership from BB. $350 -$35 = $315! That would be a new winner unless someone else finds a better deal! I hadn't even thought of that until you mentioned discount. See, you didn't derp (?) it after all.

Thanks, but looking for pilot road, not pilot power. BB is still best price so far after AMA discount, but rear is on backorder. Gonna call Star Cycle and see if they have them in stock.

 

Got mine through Chaparral's EBay site a few weeks ago for $299 shipping included, and had Cycle Gear mount and balance for $30.
My suspension should be here mid week from Daugherty Motorsports. I'm thinking this is going to be a transformed bike with the reworked suspension, new brakes and tires. Good luck with your shopping.

The last few times I bought my tires through Sportbiketrackgear.com, they had the lowest price on the sets I was looking for. I just received an email from them this morning that they were having a Michelin tire "blowout", so you may want to check on their website too. Any purchases outside the state of MI, will get you no sales tax.

Good info! No such package deal right now, but who knows, maybe they'd make one. Definitely worth a phone call. I've always found them to be excellent to deal with. Literally been buying bike tires from them for decades!

Didn't see anything under their "kick ass promotions" for Michelins. Stated prices on the website are a few bucks higher, but thatnks for the tip just the same. Still down to the same three suppliers, depending on availability.

Hey Dave. Just for grins did an EBAY search for ya and Chaparral has the PR3 combo for $299.99 w/free shipping(buy it now price) and PR2's separates add up to $277.76 . Hope that helps.

Well somehow I'm missing it. The only combo I see Chaparral selling on eBay is a 180 rear, not a 190.. have you got a direct link?

 

I think I'm seeing a trend here. Looks like you guys who got the really smokin' deals are riding 800s, not 1200s. So I'm guessing you bought 180s, not 190s. Definite difference in price. Gonna call Chaparral and Star Cycle Wednesday and check their actual availability on the 190, since BB is showing it on backorder. Also thinking VERY seriously about painting the wheels satin black while the tires are off. I do have a thing for black wheels with rim stripes. We'll see if I work up the nerve or not.

 

I'll just be laying in the yard like a turd! Sorry man, got so excited shopping for tires again I completely didn't pay attention that your on the 1200. My bad.
