I just picked up my 04 VFR800. I have been out of motorcycling for 8 or 9 years. I was looking at a number of bikes including the new BMW 800's. I found a mint 04 at a local Honda dealer, flat black in color. It was love at first sight. I have always liked VFR's and their unique sound since the 80's.

This bike is just great, bikes have come a long way in 10 years. Plenty of low end grunt and the rush at 7,000 rpm. The only problem is the cold Wisconsin spring, it has not been above freezing since I bought the bike late last week.

Welcome dude. I have an 04 too, just Red. I started out looking at the R1200S and a few Ducati's and ended up on the VFR as well. Enjoy the new ride. The black is sweet.

Congrats on the new ride & welcome back to two wheeled bliss. I feel you on this goofy weather 80 degree's @ the end of March now this:rant: I almost wish I had'nt pulled my bike out of moth balls yet because now I really want to ride. Riding to work commits me to 120 mile jaunt round trip; today would have been doable but I over slept:eek:hwell:

I have been riding in the cold, I have Gortex gloves, my ski mask under my helmet, and long johns. I have put 100 miles on it in 4 days. If its this fun in the cold, it will be even better when its warm. We are suppose to get 5 inches of snow tonight so that will bring things to a halt for a while.
