GO PRO HERO camera thoguhts

Just got the silver Go Pro Hero3 and its amazing! I love it! Highly recommend it!

 

Yep, it's pretty cool. I have been messing around with mounting points. I think I want a mount for my helmet. The biggest issue I have seen is getting the shot from as high as possible. With the camera mounted on the bike you do,'t get the dynamic effect of the camera in movement, especially for the still shots. I am going to try the suction cup mount under the wind screen with the camera pointing over the top as someone suggested. I think if I were to go crazy I would have hard mounting points spread all over the bike. I am going to need a spare battery.

I highly recommend this little video camera. I don't think there is a better value out there.

These would make excellent helmet cams, small light and unobtrusive! Might work well mounted under the front fairing too. I might get a couple and experiment.

I bought 3 of them. I had to shim the bottom with some folded paper between the camera and rubber insert, but it holds the camera very snug. Now I need to fashion some kind of windshield to protect the lens and mic. from too much wind noise. When I come up with something, I will post a pic. or two.
