So Im building a 95 vfr to look like I want it to. I have an entire 09 cbr 600rr as a parts bike. I swapped front end over already but I want to use the cbr key/ignition. The cbr ignition only has 2 wires but the VFR has 3. No idea why the cables were cut before and butted together.
Here is the VFR ignition- I'm wondering what that pblue/pink cable goes to?

What you need to do is look at the individual wiring diagrams to see what the blue/pinkish wire is on the CBR. Though working with Honda wiring I'd suspect it's a blue and white wire for the lights. Which is pulled from the ON kill switch side and jumpers over to the HI/LOW head light switch. The CBR po may have put in a on/off light switch or light accessories and wanted to draw direct power to a switch.

Do a web search for the cbr manual and either download it or view the wiring diagram. here's one spot I found with free downloads. It's a 06 but that shouldn't matter.

Do yourself a favor and replace the crimped wire connectors with solder and heat shrink.
The wire crimps will give you problems down the road and it's hard to troubleshoot electrical issues....

The blue /orange wire goes to the fan motor fuse. Look in the specs forum for a copy of the manual.

    Good luck.

I think there may also be a wire that goes to the tilt sensor. kills then engine when bike goes over. It's either connected to the ignition or the kill switch on some bikes.
