Hi, I'm looking for a compact GPS that mounts cleanly (requires no drilling) to the VFR1200. Needing it for the next spring Pennsylvania trip....
    What works well?

I'm not afraid to spend a few bucks. I don't want lots of gimmicks - just a basic GPS with a readable map. Are you happy with your Zumo 660?

So far yes, at least they are water proof so you do not have to worry riding in the rain. But if you want simple GPS I would suggest a low end model they will get you from A to B.

Wow,that looks nice and compact! It just might fit the bill. Will check for a review of it. If it's Garmin, it cannot be bad, right??

I don't think you can go wrong with Garmin.......Check around some store offer life time map update with the package. Not sure you have Costco in Canada, here in state they do offer from time to time. Probably cheaper if you buy online
This is where I get most of my GPS items, I do not see the 220 listed here.

Costco in Canada doesn't carry the Zumo line or any motorcycle mount GPS. I live an hour from Michigan, so I could have the unit shipped to Port Huron, then pick it up and bring it back. Might be the easiest.

No. I have to declare it at the border, but if you haven't purchased much, they generally let you go through without any hassle.
Costco here has all Garmin Nuvi units. Do any of the Nuvi units have the motorcycle mount?

Yes the Nuvi do can also mount on the bike, but you have to be creative. You will need to get the Ram mount and a cover to hole the GPS.
Let me know which model you like I can find the hardware to mount the unit for you.

Wait a second. I'm going to need to add the wiring harness and the 12 volt adaptor right?
