I was looking through a local website today and noticed this add for a yellow (the fastest color VFR according to some) 99 VFR800 with 16,000 km's. Not sure if anyone is interested or not but I thought I would post it up on the board. I have seen the ad before a couple of times and the price has dropped considerably from the first time I saw the bike for sale (think he was asking around $4900 about a year ago). The bike is located in Penticton, BC, Canada and is reasonably close to me if anyone would like me to take a look at it for you.

I'm not sure if this is where I am supposed to post this, but if I am in violation of some site rules I do apologize.

    Hey Scubalong

At this time of year it would have to be more like fly and trailer. Little too cold and slippery up in these parts to try and ride back to the US, too many high mountain passes to cross depending on where you are coming from. From here to the Pacific Northwest are like Washington or Oregon might (key emphasis on might) be feasible. This time of year the weather in the Okanagan Valley is a might unpredictable. Yesterday we started with fair bit of frost to scrape off the car windows, then we had snow, around noon it turned to rain, then the sun came out in the afternoon and it got up to 6*C (around 45*F), then it dropped to -6*C (20*F) overnight and today it is sunny and 8*C.

I only we had riding weather here year round like you guys have down in San Diego. If I lived down in yourt parts my weekly life would likely involve trips to the zoo with my kids. The last time I was at the San Diego Zoo was around 20 years ago and it was truly amazing though one day was definitely not enough time.
