I have a crashed gem 6 to make good. I need to replace both headlights but haven't been able to find any online in the normal places. Anybody know a good supplier? I may have to go to Honda but that will be very expensive!

Have now thanks duccman I forgot about them! They do have them which is a good start. I've been using CMS for parts as their shipping is very reasonable

whereas bike bandit has very expensive shipping to NZ - online anyway. I might email them to sort a better deal out.

    Cheers

Wahoo! Iv'e never heard of them for some reason and they have cheap headlights:smile: John you have made my day. I don't receive the bike until Thursday yet I got so excited when I saw those cheap lights I had to use lots of self control to resist ordering them now - just incase they disappear when I go to order them at the end of the week. However I will resist - I've taken the day off work on Friday so I can strip down and order a whole list of parts at one time to save on shipping.

Anybody do better than John? I doubt it but I will be well impressed if you can!

Your welcome rainman, thanks for the cudos scub. I came across that site about ten days ago while searching for a right side case(clutch)cover for my gen6. A little low side mishap at jogging speed. I'll share my shame in another thread sometime soon. Anyway, their price was $190 and the next closest price I came across was $245! Shipping was very reasonable. I have to believe that the parts come from Honda as i'ts off the factory Fische, so as long as Honda has them we should be good. Havn't received my part yet as they had to order the part from Honda and then forward it to me. I'll let you know how long it takes from start to arrival when it shows up.

I have used HondaPartsNation to purchase parts for my 2000 VFR and I was very happy with their prices and they had fantastic customer service.

2006 Honda VFR800A AC HEADLIGHT | CyclePartsNation Honda Parts Nation

Check them out and see how their price compares. Their shipping cost to Canada when I ordered my parts was less than Ron Ayers and their parts prices were lower as well, at least on the items I ordered.

Oops, should have checked your bike listing under your avatar and I would have noticed that your gen 6 is a 2002 correct. Here is an updated listing for the 2002 VFR800. Not sure if it makes a huge difference or not.

2002 Honda VFR800A AC HEADLIGHT | CyclePartsNation Honda Parts Nation

I checked the part numbers and the 2002 versus the 2006 headlight were slightly different, and the 2002 headlights were cheaper, hmmmmmm, go figure.

Have you tried auto parts stores? Much cheaper here in Australia buying from Supercheap Auto or similar stores than the Honda items. As far as I know the 6th Gen uses 2 H4 & 2 H7 bulbs.
