You mean the rear shock isn't red from Honda? Mine has a red shock. ...maybe that's why it was sitting a bit low in the rear

But seriously, it does look like you have a lowering link in there.


My shock has a black springy thingy but it is an 07 with ABS and I think all the ABS bikes had different springs.

 

The shock looks like a stock ABS unit though, hence the little pre-load adjustment knob on the right by the passenger foot peg, it might just have a different spring. If appears to be lower that normal, check the rear suspension triangles and dog bone as they might not be stock. Was the PO short? Maybe a little under weight too perhaps, I.e. Needed a softer spring for more sag
