Have all the parts to install the renthal conversion on my 98. Renthal medium bars, tag +5mm risers, Progrip 700 grips and oberon bar ends.

My first question is, do I need to replace the throttle cables? I know at a minimum they will have to be re routed, but do they have to be replaced? If they do, what year ST1100 cables will fit?

Second question, fast idle lever/cable what do I need to do with that?

I did a custom install with high risers and a low rise bar. I don't know about the fast idle, but you should be ok with the throttle cables.

In my case, I had to re-route throttle cables under the tank. I also had to re-route the clutch hose. It now goes in between the fork leg and frame. It does not pinch and I did not have to disconnect the hose. Remove the clamp cap and the whole clutch assembly can be carefully maneuvered through the space between the fork leg and frame. Turn the bars slightly to the right. Check the install thread below for more details.
