Had one of these beautiful bikes and sold it to a Hollywood movie director

who said he wanted to display it in his office.

How can a company that created such a gorgeous bike build such ugly ones today?

That bike is too clean to ride. It would be a sin. It's amazing what these bikes go for.

I guess I'm the odd ball when it comes to rare or super sexy "things". I believe in using them for what they were meant for. Whether its a car, bike, whatever; I want USE it, and not just look at it.

Believe it or not your current VFR is a better road bike , even though that's sex on wheels. Pure art in form

Believe me, I would want to ride it, but the whole time on it, I'd be scared to death of laying the thing down. I've got to believe that parts for that bike are truly "unobtanium".

There was a video that I saw earlier this year where someone was doing a test ride on an NR750. I believe that afterwards, the impressions were the same as yours. I can't remember if I got the link from this site or another. I'll see if I can dig it up.

Stewart, back in 2006 someone posted a young lady trying to ride her friend's NR750 in Japan . . .

ever seen a $60k+ bike dropped? - YouTube <<<<< hurts to watch

The title says $60,000 but today it would be worth three times that.

Wow!!! How could they stand there and let that happen? You could see it coming. The video I was talking about was a motorcycle journalist review. It was pretty good and from what I remember, they said pretty much what RVFR said.

The street model RC30 wasn't anywhere near the performance of the HRC -kitted model, but derived some of it's reputation from the race bike. Street model dynoed at about 115-118 HP if i remember right.

Yes, it's historic and iconic, but today's VFRs or even the modern 600 sportbikes are better in almost every way, not counting aesthetics. The 18 inch rear wheel is very odd now.

Don't know if you could get any replacement fairings, and i think i read somewhere that the cost for the upper fairing was about $3500 !!!!
