Actually makes the bike look halfway decent. But I still wouldn't own one.

 

I can't believe they're showing pics of the 2013 when the 2012's have scarcely hit the showrooms. None of my local dealers even have a 2012. Only place I've even seen one is on this forum. It is good to know though that they plan to continue the bike another year, albeit with nothing but a color change.

Honda made a big 2013 debut the other day

 

I did notice it and I personally would never own a black bike. There is no defintion at all when looking at it. It's just too much black. I like the red and even the blue.

 

i don't like black either, but i know a lot of people on here were hoping for it after seeing the euro models

 

I'm not saying anything about the performance of the bike. I'm sure it is incredible. Like all Honda's for that matter. I use to think the cbr 1000rr looked funny as well but they made some small changes to the bodywork and it looks a lot better. I just wish they would make some changes to the vfr now. Maybe next year. They seem to be on a four year production run so maybe we can get a sport version anyway.

 

Black looks awesome.
I dunno, there are some complaints about this bike, mainly the rear shock and the fueling.
It seems to be a love hate sort of deal.
But what is with Honda offering these year only paint colors? I know it is cost effective, but going back to the Henry Ford attitude of they can have any color they want as long as it is black seems silly. They are offering 3 color schemes for new the CBR250 and 500.

 

Cbr 500? Is that a euro model

That is a good looking bike. I really like the rwb model. If they made the vfr closer in style I believe I would see a lot more on the road.

 

the fueling problem is a $65 fix, my shock works fine, gonna go for fork springs but no more "complaints" than any other typical model ....springs pipes seats power commander etc...i LOVE mine !!!!!!

 

I love the red, Simply stunning in the sun. My "Black" Blackbird cooked me during the summer around town. It looked great clean but always seemed to get a thin coat of dust that took off the sheen. Took my VFR for a quick spin today and received several compliments. Love the sound and looks with my Black Series TB Carbon Fiber can too.

 

I was looking over that Honda motorsports sight and Honda has some really good looking bikes coming with several different paint schemes. I really like that they have brought the repsol editions back. It's just a shame the vfr isn't one of them.If they could just tone it down some. That gas tank sticking up and the little short tail section just kills the lines of it. And if they insist on having the muffler down there at least make it similar to the cbr 1000 rr. I think they will make those changes. Hopefully sooner than later. I know some of you are very touchy about criticisms to this vfr but why? If you love it great. There are things about my 98 looks I don't necessarily like either but it doesn't bother me if someone talks about it. I for one love the looks of the sixth gen. Especially the rwb model but still like my gear driven cams and non v-Tec. Maybe in 2014 the vfr will please everyone.

if people are going to talk down about a bike that they have never ridden or even seen in person, i think that a potential buyer deserves to hear the opinion of an owner who has logged some (17,000) miles on one.....

Touchy touchy. I have seen several. They have been sitting in the used bike section of my dealership. I really want to like it but I just can't get past the looks. I like the black just not the lines of the bike. No other Honda looks like it . They are close that's why I say if they would just tone it down some. And I'm not trying to bash the bike I love vfrs. Anyway not trying to get any panties in a bunch. You started a thread about its looks and then get upset if someone dis-agrees with your view. I was under the assumption this was an open forum. I guess it is so long as you like the looks of the seventh gen huh?
