Measuerments taken were with no load on front forks. Distance from top of upper triple clamp to top of lower triple clamp is 8 1/2". The measurements from the top of triple clamps to center line of the axles may vary depending on if the owner has changed the height of the front of the bike by raising the tubes up in the triple clamps. The fork tubes on my bike are as far down as they will go in the triples. Hope this helps. I suppose I should have mentioned that measurements were taken on a 2000 VFR800.

    Awesome.

How much have you lowered the front? I will just add those to the figures you provided. Thanks so much for all of your help!

And how much fork is exposed above the top triple?

    Fork Tube Measurements

The fork tubes on my bike extend 1 3/4" above the top of my upper triple clamp. This is just enough room to mount the factory bars to the fork tubes and to the best of my knowledge, is unchanged from the factory setting. I have attached a picture showing the approximate height of the bars. Hope the information is helpful.

I was just looking for some information online and came across an article in Sport Rider magazine.
    They listed the Rake/Trail on the VFR800Fi as 25.5 deg / 3.9" (99mm)

Here is a link to the article in case your interested. It is a test between the VFR800Fi, the BMW R1100S, the Triumph Sprint ST and the Ducati ST4.
