Can you say that this happens all the time? Have you owned this since new? Personally, I wished mine did this because I have HID lights all around. If I have my High Beams on at the same time as the lows, I blow fuses. The power being drained during the warm up stage is to great for the fuse. If I let the lows warm up first, then switch to highs, I am OK. What I am saying here is, if someone else owned this bike before you, he may have had a delay relay in there for this very reason. This will be one of my mods for this winter.

BTW. :thumb: on the high beams during the daylight hours. But they are far to bright for night time use if there is traffic around. I do the same thing. Technically illegal most places but fugm

My first guess would be a slow relay. There should be one for lows and another for highs. They are usually identical and can be swapped, but verify that there is no delay with the lows before doing this.

fugm is right safety first !!! i also got into the habit from the old days of sealed beam hi/lo in order to put the majority of hours on hi beam so not to be stranded at night with burned out
    lo beam

This exact thing happened to me for the first time about a week ago. Bike is a 2010 completely stock. Thought it was was the switch at the time because it seemed to work after repeated attempts. Please let us know what the dealer says about the problem.
