Supertrapp mufflers are tunable..you add or remove disks to change the sound of them mostly it also aids with gaining some performance when they are used. After looking at those pics i may attempt something like them using some universal Supertrapp exhaust cans later on when my budget allows for it..unless some used Cobra F1s or Kerkers come along for sale.

If I didn't already have F1R's and love the sound of them I would jump all over those.

I have a pair on my '86 VF700. Wonderful sound. Both sound and flow are tuned byinserting and removing the baffle discs (the more discs, the louder and the higher flowing they are).

Fairly loud, but nothing like the Muzzy on my wife's bike (she sets off car alarms just idling by them).

Which reminds me, I need to get some pics of my bike taken.

Kerker bought supertrapp, I think. You can still get universal slip-ons from them ("race" applications only).

Just wish i could have afforded them...now i recall looking at the supertrap site before and seen a couple of the slip on cans i wouldnt mind trying on my bike..just not sure which ones to try..

    Heres the links for them

IDS2 Racing series Universal mufflers (cant tell if these are for dirt or street)

    http://www.supertrapp.com/product_sections/detail.asp?ItemID=312-15016

    S/C Standard (black powdercoated)

    http://www.supertrapp.com/product_sections/detail.asp?ItemID=449-2018

.just not sure which one to select for my bike..Seems like im almost better off going with the S/C because its tunable. Opinions?

I have 4 baffles in mine right now, significantly quieter than the full 8 baffles. Probably doesn't breathe as well up high, but I'm not running up to redline yet, anyway.

Both should be tuneable. In the cutout for the IDS2, you can see the stack of baffles hidden inside the housing. Looks like you take off the pan-head allen screw, remove the tip, and then can access the allen screws that hold the end-cap on the diffuser discs/baffles.

The powercoated black is rather stealthy, aside from the bright colored disks and endcap. But they also sell black discs, and I'm sure you can get the endcap powercoated somewhere for a totally stealth look with it (would look great on a black bike, or your dark red).

Even if i left the endcap itself alone it would look good with the silver frame on my bike. (guessing you were refering to me with the your dark red comment woody)

Yeah. I looked at the gallery pics you have to see what color your bike was. The black power-coat would look great with that bike. On my RWB '86, the plain aluminum ones are really nice.
