    Today I learned that a magnetic tank bag can wipe an external hard drive that belongs to the firm you work for... fml.

    Yeah, magnets and hard drives do not mix! Ironically the magnets inside the hard drive are some of the strongest you can find.

    I wasn't trying to be funny, just stating a fact. I actually got a huge blood blister from trying to take a hard drive apart, damn magnet snapped back together with the back plate with my finger in the way! That's how I know their strength.

    I wasn't referring to you being funny. Just that it's not too funny when that sort of thing happens. Ouch. I haven't taken a hd apart for a while. We just drill holes in them here and then have them ground up. Kinda cool to watch the grinders.

    I was curious to see what was inside, it was a 15,000RPM SCSI drive that went belly up. Yeah, crazy how them grinders just chews $hit up!
