Talked to a guy at length today about a BOS GP-1. The looks are great IMHO and he's offering what I think is a great price @ $625 shipped. Does anyone have this and want to offer their opinion? Thanks.

That's a much better price than I could ever find when I was looking at purchase options for the BOS system last fall. I ended up buying a Leo Vince system as I simply could not find a selling price AND a shipping rate that was worth my while. If I was still in the market for a set of pipes, I'd go for it.

I am looking to get these mufflers too I think. Where did you get that price from?

And how have you found the fit to be? Did you have luggage racks, and did they still fit?

    Cheers,
    Shayne

www.bosexhausts.com or call "Lenny" @ 631-254-3010. I do not have the luggage racks. The quality and fit are excellent.

Has anybody else ordered up a pair of these slip-ons? If so, how much did you pay? Do the hard bags fit with them installed? They look like they follow the same lines as the stock mufflers so i would think so. Provide sound bites if you got them.

    Thanks,
    Bob.

I am trying to get a price, but no luck so far. If anyone can contact BOS North America can they post up here and let me know. I have sent two emails and have received no replies. The website says $860 I think which is a lot dearer than 0725thvfr paid.

I have made some enquiries, and found out that they are in fact a bit smaller than the stock mufflers, so luggage will fit no problems I have been told by the manufacturer.

I called Lenny (Listed above) today and ordered up a set of the GP-1 slip-ons. He must be selling a few of these units because his price is up to $675 plus shipping. Still a good deal compared to the $800-$860 I've seen on other sites (and BOS usa). He said it should take about two weeks (None in stock). I have the hard bags on the bike. He said they will fit with the GP-1 cans.
I'll give an update and sound bites when I get them installed.

    Until then...

I am looking at BOS GP-1's also for my 07 VFR. I have never installed custom exhaust on a bike before. The stock VFR has a heat shield, this is not apparently present on the BOS from the website pics. Is the heat shield, part of the BOS cans? If not isn't a heat shield necessary, especially if you have a passenger? I am looking forward to the sound clip also!
    Thanks!
    Tony
