How long are the PR3 lasting on your bikes?

I read in a bike magazine they longest they got out of a larger bike like a VFR was 3500 miles (6000kms)

I'm on my 2nd set of BT-023's. My first set lasted over 10k miles (16k kms)

My PR2 last between 10k miles to 15K miles depend on my riding habit. I am on my new set of PR3 and put in 3K + miles and still look new.

My VTR1000 came with BT-54 tyres on it, I wasn't initially impressed as I had planned to head straight to my local for a set of PR2s... Well I put 17,000km on those tyres before I wrote it off, they stuck like the proverbial to a blanket and had a good 3-4,000 left in them...

This is a pic of the rear with 8,000km on it...

    Hi guys,

I'm new to VFR's and have a deposit down on a 2000 model. Can't wait!

I bought PR3's for my last bike - a 2004 Bandit 600. They were better than the ragtag old Bridgestones I had on for sure (BT-56 rear, BT-21 front, both ~5 yrs old). I put on 3500 kms (~2000 miles) and barely saw any cupping or appreciable wear - they looked almost like new.

To the OP, Pete's Superbikes is the cheap place to get tires in Canada. I paid $300/set for a 120 / 160 pair of PR3's and I think he has 120 / 180 for $320. From Pete, you could find Metzeler Z8's and Roadsmart 2's for under $300/set.

My new-to-me Viffer has a new-looking set of Pilot Power Pures on it. Hopefully I don't have to replace them too soon...

That's awesome to hear I put on BT-23s when I first got my bike this spring.
