Just wondering if the power commander can be used on more than 1 bike. Local guy has one for sale. Wasn't sure if it was like my Diablo tuner for my truck. U can only use it on my truck

It's just like most parts for your bike, if it was meant for your make/model, you can use it on another bike of the same make/model. The Power Commanders are reprogrammable via software and a USB cable. The PCIII is the most common one being re-sold and the PCV is the latest.

Pretty fair price. I would cough up the cash.

Make sure you find out if it is a PC3 or a PC3 USB. The first version of the PC3 did not have USB connectivity and will require a serial port on your computer and a serial cable to talk to it. They aren't all that common but if it is an old stock item, the chance exists that it is the first version.

You may also want to look into O2 eliminators, de-PAIRing, de-snorkeling, and de-EVAPing your bike as part of the path to smooth out the low end of things. All of the above plus the PC3/tune worked wonders on mine and I'd never go back.
