hmmm, guess he forgot to check the air filter photo.jpg
The new one is a HiFlo unit, maybe I'll get better than 45mpg now.

Gee that is an old looking filter ya got there. It truely is a good thing that they checked that bike out for ya. Anything else that they claimed to do well?

I doubt that you will see much difference in the fuel economy unless you change the gearing. Then again, I have been wrong before, in fact only moments ago I thought I was wrong but I was mistaken.

It may help a bit, I'm sure.. also have a fresh oil change with Mobil 1 filter and oil, clean and lubed the chain, and most importantly installed my PIAA Super Plasma bulbs!

45 miles per Imperial gallon or U.S. gallon?
Seeing as how you are in Canada, I'm guessing Imperial.

Your hoping to get BETTER than 45 mpg?

What - do you have a throttle stop on that prevents you from going over 5000rpm? I don't think I've ever done better than 41.

US Gallons I think, I use a site that you input litres used, km driven and cost per litre.. it spits out L/100km and MPG.

I've used about 4 tanks of gas since I've owned her, gotten 41-45mpg.. always hoping for better, but I'm not complaining.. my main vehicle is a Montana SV6 lol, not that great on gas.
