I've read here and on other forums the Honda side cases don't accommodate a full face helmet. If turned backward, the screen facing the back of the bike, with the neck opening seated on the lid, it's a perfect fit. If this has been posted before please forgive me. Jeez, it seems to me that there is so much bad info out there on this great bike. Right side case only! Regards.

I've heard that they fit fine but it is always good to hear first hand information. I have a set that I haven't mounted on the bike yet but I'm looking forward to putting them to the test at some point.

I have to concur that the internet is rife with opinions and at times it is difficult to determine if what you are reading is just conjecture or factual.

    But not here on VFRW!:potstir:

Not all helmet shells are the same size. Just because yours fits (right side only???) doesn't mean they all will. Relatively speaking, they are fairly small cases. That's why I bought Givis instead.

I'd like to know what size helmet you have as I am trying to decide what bags to get for myself right now.

I read a lot of reviews on oem vs Givi V35 and even found some posts claiming that size large helmets don't fit in the V35 cases. I just saw the V35 cases at my local shop last week and they are huge and easily hold my size XL Shoei RF1000. I don't know if people just didn't play as much tetris as I have, but it seems that the Givis will hold any helmet to me.

Anyway, a real question to the original poster, you suggest that the left and right side cases are different sizes. Can you tell me where the difference is in the dimensions or show it in a pic?

For two up riding I like to be able to stow 2 helmets in the side cases which is why I am leaning towards Givi.
    Thanks

I wear an Arai profile medium and it will fit in the right case only. And just barely. It will not fit on the drive side because the bottom of the bag is partially raised to clear the pumpkin upon compression of the rear. If your goal is to carry 2 helmets...probably aint gonna happen with the stock cases. They sure work and look good though.

Yep, you're right. Anyone with a large or extra large helmet that can check this out? Also, I was not implying VFRworld is a source of bad info; just the opposite is true!

Arai large is the same shell as the medium...just the internal padding is not quite as thick. Therefore the large would fit also. If I had to bet, I would say the XL/XXL would also fit in the right side case. A brain bucket is about all that would fit in the left case.
