IMO combinations like the above bear closer inspection. Many times those dogs turn out to be girlfriends especially if Harleys are involved.

If one is to win, one must begin with keeping up. The new Victory "Pyrric" is just such a bike. Then again, using outcome based methodology, even the person in 38th place out of a field of 39 gets a trophy. If I can't dig one up, would ya settle for a stool and a pointy hat?

I wouldn't want to be so cruel as to relive you of your dunce cap schoolboy, I'm sure it brings back fond memories of when you were too stupid to know you're stupid. As opposed to now when you use all the big words you can find to make yourself appear super intellegent while still having staple scars from your favorite headwear.

A restored Scout of that vintage can go as high as 15k. That particular scout was basically a Royal Enfield. Earlier Scouts made by Indian are in the unobtanium range. There are restorers who will go so far as to replicate a single bolt or screw including the metallurgy to restore old bikes. One guy near Seattle (Microsoft is near Seattle) had 27 HD Knuckleheads all different. One of the premiere old Indian experts, "Indian Jeff McGeary" lived in Seattle. RIP .

Most of this on Google if ya wanna look it up.

It's crazy what some of those old bikes can go for. I think the seller should be a little more realistic though, "I have a almost complete 1949 Indian Scout motorcycle all you have add is a foundry, a machine shop and about 5000 hours to complete. I'm sure some collector will jump on it for the parts if nothing else.

Just think, for all that money they could just go out and buy a Harley..;) Being "complete" jacks the prices way up. I had a 1953 Velo that was complete and was a beater. It got scooped up in one day. It went to a Vero restorer in WA that the Brits send thier Velo's to. Same guy "does" Vincents too.
