So far I've done 135 with the wife on back and 141 by myself on I-405 in Bothell on the way to work.

I'll see if I can find a nice road and find out. I have hit 110 a couple of times on a straight stretch near the house. I think I was in third or fourth. Not paying attention. Nowhere near redline. Just that my turn comes up pretty fast at that speed. I've been at 165 indicated on my Blackbird and plenty of power to spare. My turn came up quick that time, too. :)

    speed is relative

depends what part of the country you're in... i heard of one guy with a bike just like mine - silver/silver 01 - did 235 kms in 5th... didn't look down after getting into 6th & no he wasn't nervous.

We can be sure that at 180+ even the best VFRs get shitty mileage.

me took out a 100,000 mile black-turd and did 165mph too, co-worker wanted my opinion if it was still aight. He complained when the bike came back with almost no petrol left. :flip:

Shate mileage is directly affected by how heavy the right hand/foot is...Imagine they used to have left throttles on old Indians,

So sold my 1998 VFR last month. The day before I sold it I had my co worker top it out for me as he is 90 lbs lighter. I road his Honda XX Blackbird and he my VFR and in 6th gear roll on he just left me and pulled ahead over 70 yards and it did not stop until I was hitting over 170 on his speedo and then I started to slowly pull in on him and then he let off. He maxed out the speedo on my bike as it went just past 170 mph as was right at the rev limiter. I have a two up sprocket in back and with the full race pipe it can pull all the way through the gears including 6th as it has the HP to do it but most don't and can't pull 6th gear to the rev limiter. It was definitely the fastest VFR around except for a supercharger and with a light rider it is pretty fast for sure. So over 160 mph it goes and that is fast in my book. I already miss it and am sorry it went as I had just finished off everything to make it the best. I shouldn't have finished it and so it is my fault. 3 bikes went 2001 ZX12R, 2006 ZX10R and my beloved and long lived 1998 VFR800 which I will always love. Last bike standing is my 2005 ZX12R.

Somewhere between 115 and 125 on my 1986 500. Any faster than that and this pos would probably crumble apart
